About the Artist

Erik Anderson began lampworking in Northern California in 1996, apprenticing briefly under “Tattoo John” Lloyd. His career took root in Hawaii, where he helped introduce glass pipe artistry to the islands as part of Magma Glass Hawaii, winning bronze in the 2001 Amsterdam Cannabis Cup. Inspired by Hawaii’s flora and fauna, Erik developed his sculptural Makai jewellery line and hosted workshops with renowned artists like Robert Mickelsen and Mike Plane.

In 2006, he founded Anderson Glassworks Studio in Maui before later moving to the Pacific Northwest. His work has been featured in books, magazines, and exhibitions, and he continues to collaborate with top glass artists while creating award-winning pieces that blend functional design with fine art.
