Not all her babies were created equally. Some weren’t meant to be enjoyed on avocado toast. But we knew exactly what to do, we gave back, planting her babies in the very same soil as their mother. We took a chance, not knowing exactly what would come of it. Once again your spirit rose from the local farm soil and your babies emerged drawing strength and courage from you. To this day six baby Matos have sprouted at your feet, ready to carry on your legacy and bring joy to the people. It was just today that we uprooted your first sprout and gave her a new home within the barber shop. She’s gone on to live a new life separate from you, holding on to the values and traditions of her mother. Becoming an Heirloom while living as a Roma.
