About the Artist

Erik Anderson began his lampworking career in Northern California in 1996 and went on to help establish the glass pipe movement in Hawaii as part of Magma Glass Hawaii, winning bronze at the Amsterdam Cannabis Cup in 2001. Inspired by Hawaii’s flora and fauna, Erik developed a sculptural style that blends functional glasswork with jewellery design. He later founded Anderson Glassworks Studio in Maui before returning to the Pacific Northwest, where he continues to create award-winning glass art.

Blownoutofwater (BOW) is known for incorporating ammonite fume prints and sculptural details into functional glasswork. Their distinct ammonite motifs add organic and textural depth, making each collaboration uniquely recognizable.
